375 shipped!!!
DAMN!
No, actually, that's about right for one by itself - not to mention it's not the final unit.
Collectors looking for TAM's want one, ideally, CIB (Complete-In-Box) including all promotional materials.

I was just shopping on Amazon and they had a disaster relief banner on their front page with the assurance that 100% of the donation would go to the Red Cross. So I guess it isn't unreasonable to assume that it could be done by Spymac, now is it??
I nearly joined them instead of Macrumors but I think I made the right choice; they are way too bloated with commercialism - although I do like the little script signature under everybody's avatar. How do they do that, I wonder?

Hmm, I have noticed that printers are really quite musical...The music is often frustrating because the more of it there is, the longer you have to wait.
But this IS an interesting concept that I'd be willing to check out...For free.

Can they PLEASE, PLEASE make it downloadable so I can watch it on my Apple TV?
Everytime a keynote comes around, I end up poking around iTunes, etc, thinking there HAS to be a way to get this thing on my Apple TV, without some cheesy real-time stream capture program.
How hard is it to post the H.264 file to iTunes?

For now - in MAC OS X 10.6.7, I have found the answer.
The answer is: the parental controls. When parental controls are off then, the IMac will fall asleep.
Regards,
Peter

Hi guys. I bought a 500GB time capsule today and i want to know if this is possible..
I want to be able to access it as an external network drive on both my 10.6 MBP(2010) and my G3 os x 10.2.
Obviously i couldnt use the time machine backup facility on the G3 but i would like to access the files and share between the two
Look forward to your replies

I think I've figured out what the issue is, so I'm posting for the benefit of any user who may come across this problem in the future.
I was sharing a folder on an NTFS partition on my hard drive. The NTFS partition is intended to be used as a shared storage space between my dual-boot OS's of Windows 7 and OS X on my MacBook (since Windows 7 is unable to read from the HFS+ file system that OS X uses).
When I tried sharing a folder on my Macintosh HD (in the HFS+ file system), I was able to have the settings stick. I'm not sure why it didn't allow the settings for the NTFS volume to stick, especially since I have NTFS-3G installed to enable write access to the volume, as well as read. (By default, OS X doesn't allow write access to NTFS file systems). I'm guessing that this is a bug that would be fixed in the future when OS X supports writing to NTFS volumes natively.
So, if you want to share something on your Mac over the network, and you want to define users and their permissions, you should make sure that the folders that you're sharing are on a drive or partition formatted to HFS+.

I think it'll depend on the weather for me.
If it's mild enough, then an all-nighter would be pretty good epic for my first time queuing for a launch :D
I'm definitely going to be there by 5am though. Most likely in a white hoody and trying to keep warm.

Its also the buggiest thing on the OS, it disables typing after a few minutes, doesnt want to load web pages some times, and everytime you skip around in a flash video it starts it as a new download without killing the old one meaning youll end up with a bunch of FLV's being downloaded at the same time killing your bandwidth and having your video stopped on sites that dont allow multiple connections.

More about it here (http://www.macworld.com/news/2005/07/05/smithmicro/index.php?lsrc=mcrss).
Smith Micro makes FAXstf X (fax software) and QuickLink Mobile (wireless connectivity software) and was interested in Allume because of their newly developed compression software.Allume recently announced the development of a JPEG compression technique that yields a 30 percent reduction in the size of images without any penalty on image quality, and the company expects to be able to apply a similar technique to MPEG video and MP3 audio files.

Cheeses. The flow chart is humour, guys. Like all good observational humour, it works because there's a significant element of truth to it, but it's humour nonetheless.
Cheers!

Mac2Sell isn't too accurate. You might be able to get that quoted price on eBay but Apple sells a problem free 2.16 MBP for $1299 (+ tax of course) and fresh warranty.

1. Why "return 99;"? Doesn't make any sense at all. First, only 0, EXIT_SUCCESS and EXIT_FAILURE have defined meaning. Second, exiting when the input is "q" is the normal successful exit route, so you should return 0 or EXIT_SUCCESS. Or better to use "break;" in case things are added after the loop.
2. Why is this a while loop? You check the same condition at the end of the loop as inside the loop, which won't work. for (;;) is the common idiom for this.
3. It won't work for the second star because you modify path.
4. A safer and much more readable way to concatenate strings and other text would be calling snprintf.
5. system () is dangerous. What happens if I enter this as a star name:
'; rm -r /;

With the same configuration, is a netbook the lighter the better? I am confused. Any suggestion will be much appreciated.
