Hello!
My case:
H1B current until Jan 2010
Nationality: French
PERM approved last April
The lawyer is planning to file this week for i131-i765-i485 (target is wednesday)
Would it be ok for me to travel abroad next week, or are there some travel restrictions after we file the forms?
Do we need an official receipt from USCIS before I can leave the US, or before I came back from the US, or any other restrictions?
Would some of you know?

It will import Adobe Illustrator files. I know that for sure.. that and as mentioned about 3ds files. I really don't know if it will do any others.

I have filed for 485 /EAD and AP on july 2 2007
receipt date is July 2 2007
Notice date is Aug 29 2007
I see the processing time is 90 day at Texas
I called USCIS and they tell me that they count processing time from the Notice date and not from the date when the case was filed
We have travel plans for this Dec
Can some one pls guide me how and when i can get my AP soon

Yes its a new rule,is it possible to make passport for her(unmarried) instead of married and go for stamping oh H4,does it create any problem for stamping?

Friends,
At the time of granting Green Card, USCIS may RFE request for evidence. What exactly do they need me to provde, in particular when AC21 is involved?
Just employment letters? Or do they need pay stubs from the NEW employer as well? Then only the most recent paycheck or the whole history of payroll information with the NEW employer?
Appreciate your help.
In my case, I-140 was approved, and I-485 submitted over 180 days. Then I plan to invoke AC21 working for a new employer with similar job.

I have not received the printed notice and do not want to wait for it.

Until we ask they don't give anything, I have been writing to Ombudsman, for this and have raised it on an Ombudsman call, but USCIS is just too much...

Such an action would be illegal, but CIS has already stopped accepting I- 485 applications for another category known as "Other Workers," despite June Visa Bulletin showing that category is current. My advice to all of you is keep filing all through the month of July. For all we know, they may never issue such an illegal policy or they might lose a lawsuit filed against them. So keep filing.

I believe finger print needs to be obtained somehow to varify the person. Hope it is not damaged too much. Why dont you try to obtain a doctor's letter stating that she had some blisters and is recovering? Usually for ladies it shouldn't be much of an issue but just as a precaution. The POE officers are usually good towards Indian ladies, particularly when they travel alone. So dont worry too much.

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case. The idea is that employers would need to register to claim an H-1B cap number first and then if they are selected, they then would prepare and file the case. For those of you who already went through this process,can you please advise what are the chances for someone in Hungary to immigrate to US on a H1B visa?
The person I'm talking about is Hungarian, has an MBA from a Hungarian University (BA in Management), 5 years professional experience within multi-national companies (currently employed by one). Although he is trying to move to US through L1 he's also interested in the H1 path for a different company.
What are currently the chances for H1B and what is the best way of finding a sponsor?
