What is it about the internet that it encourages everyone to be so dramatic with every issue, even a dead pixel. ("The pixel is dead! DEAD! I could handle a sick pixel, but a dead one?")

I just picked up a D-Link DI-524 802.11g router at Best Buy two days ago. Perhaps not the most feature-rich router out there, but there were 40 dollars in rebates, bringing the price to $20. At that price I figured I could make a foray into wireless networking in my house. So far it seems to be working well. It was very simple to set up, and it seems to provide reasonably good coverage. No problems yet!

First, it's ALL 3rd party RAM, since Apple doesn't make RAM. They put other manufacturer's RAM in their computers. Second, upgrading the RAM or hard drive yourself is not a violation of warranty, so there's no need to put the original RAM back before service. Hang onto the original RAM, in case you have a problem with the RAM you buy.

I made this iMac switcher ad in After Effects, just before the 24" iMac came out. I should probably update it!

It would be interesting to find out if Apple had some sort of trademark on the letter 'i' when used with a computer, or communication related product. That might put Cisco in its place, being that the 'i'Mac was introduced on May 6, of 1996.
I know it would be a long shot, but since the US Patent and Trademark Office's site is impossible to search, its just an idea.

If I C.O.D it back to him, he will have to pay the $650 back to me before he gets his 16gb back. Even if he was legitimate, who cares, I'll have my $650 back and nothing lost and a new iPhone from a reliable source to gain.
It's only $100 or so more for a sealed 32gb (remembering this is AU pricing), so it's still cheaper than directly through Apple.
The reason I went with this guy is well, I went a little Apple crazy. I wanted an iPhone so badly I wasn't thinking.
If I get my money back, one thing I've learned is, if it's through ebay to always use Paypal and have a listing. That way I am protected no matter what.
So, hands up who thinks a refund (if it will happen) is the best course of action?

The iPod touch bluetooth only works for headphones. There's no profile for anything else. Even if there was one, there's no user visible file system on the iPod Touch.

Or why not an MBA? It should be able to handle Aperture fine, not sure about Final Cut - might want to ask on the MBA forum.
I thought about the Air, especially considering I'll be buying an SSD to replace the HDD in the MBP, however the 4GB of RAM and the older Core 2 Duo processors kinda scared me away. Now if the MBA has a refresh before we get back in July I'll definitely look into it...

I'm planning on coming. I didn't pre-order so I'll get there pretty early. I'm going to call the store this week and try to find out if they have an idea of the number of phones not already sold through pre-order.
FWIW, I was walking by the store this weekend on the way to somewhere else so I popped in and I asked one of the workers if they were planning on having very many phones beyond the pre-order batch.
He did say that they were planning on having "some" but that he wasn't sure how long that batch would last hehe.

Now that I have a great new white iPhone 4, I'm taking a wait and see approach.
It has nothing to do with the color, but rather how great this new model is.
Normally I trust Apple and pre order the moment they release each new iPhone. But after getting burned with Antennagate, I'm not taking the risk.
Another shocker is how many improvements the new white iP4 has. It's far and away the best of all smartphones.
The performance as a phone is wonderful. Loud and clear, it doesn't drop calls. So now that I have a great iPhone there's no reason to get iPhone 5.
I'm going to enjoy this one till iPhone 6.

We black iPhone users have been using it for 10 months now.
