Okay... maybe it is because I'm new here.... is this a Mac only thing? I fold on W7 using CPU and GPU.... the max points that you get on your CPU = 1920 for 1 WU

Yep, it's been well established around here that GainSaver is a bunch of crock, and that no one should even consider buying from them. Of course, that doesn't mean that people don't get caught without finding out about them first. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but I don't think any of us are surprised.

Undoubtedly 10, it's the best desktop on Earth today.
And despite all this BS that Winblows fanboys love to spread around here, I am yet to see a PC beating my 2008 iMac in terms of overall performance, UI responsiveness and REAL multitasking capabilities (not the crap that Windows represents).
NONE of my friends and relatives (all of them NORMAL users) has a better-performing machine - so please be careful when reading posts from hobbyists about "building your machine" and the like. No ordinary customer does that or wants to do that.
- The iMac has the BEST screen in the industry;
- The BEST OS in the industry, with the option to run inferior Windows if you want to suffer;
- The BEST AIO design, and none of the bulkiness common to the ugly Windows world;
- The BEST keyboard;
- The BEST standard, multitouch mouse (magic mouse) - just genius;
- Even for an older machine like mine, EXCELLENT overall performance;
- Multitasking responsiveness that is miles ahead of Windows machines (remembering my pathetic PC at work);
- Almost totally silent;
- The best customer service in the world.
Windows PCs nowadays are just for three types of people:
1 - Hardcore gamers who love to brag about irrelevant specs or one extra FPS;
2 - People like the above who need to change their GPU every month or like to tinker with their boxes;
3 - Masochists.
Just buy your iMac and be happy - you're not gonna regret it.

I am currently a Beta tester for Lion (Completely legally as a seeded developer) and was wondering if it's possible to get the disk space remaining on the bottom of the windows again. For instance, when I would open "Macintosh HD" on the bottom of the active window, it should show my how much disk space I have remaining.

Hello everyone,
I'm currently searching around in Illustrator CS5 for a thing that is probably very simple. The thing is: I'm having a logo of a company, but I need just a part of it. The logo is an .EPS file and I'm trying to cut the piece that I need out. I'm searching for hours now, but I can't find a way to do this? Does anyone know how to do this? Is there no such thing a simple cut tool in Illustrator?

P.S: I've tried it in Photoshop and it worked just fine. The only problem with Photoshop is that when I open the .EPS file Photoshop converts it to pixels, so I can't scale it up in Illustrator afterwards (or I will incredibly bad quality).

The late 2008 models run with Core 2 Duos, right? I don't think Core 2 Duos use DD3. They use DDR2, which would mean that you wouldn't be able to use it in your old MBP. Just look under "About this Mac" and it should say what memory it uses.

So the US kind of sucks with the stock market. We can't do After Hours trading like other countries can, so if the market is crashing we are screwed. Not to mention the media can tape Jobs walking akwardly out of the cancer place and the stock drops more than 20$. Kind of like insider trading in a way.
Anyways I am writing to see what people think about the market constantly dropping because of these 3rd world countries fighting over leadership. Thoughts? Anyone lost money if you own Apple stock because of this mess or any other stocks?

You'll have to create a custom subclass of UISlider to achieve this. The general flow would be something like:
- Create a custom subclass of UISlider
- Override the touch handling methods
- When a touch down is detected, determine the location of the touch relative to self
- Set the value of self (the UISlider) to the value corresponding to that touch location
- Create a custom subclass of UISlider

I will hopfully be heading out to Covent Garden this afternoon to try to get my hands on one.... ATB Nick

Hi with all the wonderful help in this forum I have just jailbroken my iPhone 4. Now I am trying to do the same for my iPad. Since iPad doesn't have baseband, should I just restore to 4.2.1 directly from iTunes or I should still download the firmware somewhere and start TSS server of TinyUmbrella while restoring to 4.2.1? I have a 250gb Porche design and it's nice. I hasn't failed. It hums a little, and it spools down when I unmount the drive from the OS. I really don't get what all the design kudos are for it. It has a shiny front, and is pretty much a rectangle. I like SilverKeeper, the backup software that comes with it. Careful with what you choose to exclude during the backup.
